HARD LANDSCAPING

Within the past year, Constructicon have laid well in excess of 10,000m2 of standard and permeable paving on new and existing construction sites in addition to at least 4,500 metres of precast concrete (PCC) kerbs, PCC edgings and aluminium edgings. Construction have laid flags, block’s and paviours of all sizes by utilsing varying techniques dependant on health and safety restrictions and area sizes which have ranged from traditional hand laying to partial hand laying with mechanical / vacuum assistance, to complete machine laying.

Constructicon have supplied and laid clay, concrete and granite flags, cobbles, blocks and paviours produced from all of the major manufacturers including Marshalls, Charcon, Ibstock, Plasmor and Tobermore. These paviours have been laid in various styles and patterns including herringbone, stretcherbond and basketweave, in both flexible or rigid fashion’s, not only to provide an impressive aesthetic look to a project, but also for disabled access solutions.

Installation of external furniture is another task which is commonly carried out by Constructicon Ltd. The correct equipment is always procured with the associated banksman, slinger / fleeter being supplied with a stringent and comprehensive site specific lifting plan being completed. The current site environment and restrictions is given paramount thought when choosing the correct plant and machinery which can range from a pick and carry, spider or mobile crane.

Our dedicated installation team take pride in the quality of their work and are dedicated to client and architect satisfaction. As a minimum, our paving installation team will be face fit tested in line with HSE requirements, in addition to being qualified to National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS) standards in manual handling and the safe use of abrasive wheels as well as satisfying the CSCS competency scheme.
